This Privacy Policy explains how Kindex, operated by Soul Surferz, LLC, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Kindex mobile application, website, and related services.

Kindex is a dating service built around curated introductions, explicit preferences, verification, messaging, and internal matching signals. That means we process information that can be personal, sensitive, and intimate. We describe that processing directly here.

We collect information you provide, information created when you use Kindex, and limited information from service providers and other users.

• Account information, such as name, email address, phone number, date of birth, sign-in method, account status, and support communications.
• Profile information, such as photos, race, preferred race or races, gender, interested-in gender or genders, age range, location or distance settings, relationship intention, lifestyle markers, Golden Trait, Vibe Check answers, and Prompted Moments.
• Verification information, such as live-selfie submissions, liveness or face-comparison results, review status, retry information, and appeal or support records.
• Prompted Moment information, including short text answers, voice clips, playback metadata, and transcripts where transcription is used for matching, accessibility, moderation, or safety.
• Matching and activity information, such as Daily Deck opens, card views, time spent reviewing cards, Pass and Connect actions, matches, unmatches, feedback, calibration answers, and anti-entropy or restoration actions.
• Messages and conversation information, including messages you send, message metadata, read states, response timing, conversation events, structured outcome labels, reports, blocks, and safety review signals.
• Location information, such as approximate location, distance, city or neighborhood display choices, and device location if you grant permission.
• Device, log, and usage information, such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, diagnostics, crash logs, security logs, and feature usage.
• Payment and entitlement information, such as subscription status, purchase confirmations, renewal or cancellation status, premium entitlements, Golden Envelope activity, and transaction metadata from app stores or payment providers.
• Information from other users, such as reports, blocks, messages, Connects, profile interactions, and feedback involving your account.

Kindex asks some questions directly because guessing sensitive preferences would be less respectful and less accurate. Depending on your choices and local law, Kindex may process sensitive personal information, including race-related preferences, dating and relationship preferences, sexual orientation or interest signals, precise or approximate location, private communications, and biometric-like verification information.

We use sensitive information to provide the dating and matching service you request, enforce explicit mutual eligibility, support safety and moderation, prevent fraud, process payments, comply with law, and improve Kindex. We do not use sensitive preferences to target unrelated ads, and we do not create public desirability rankings by race.

• Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
• Build, display, and update your profile.
• Verify photo consistency, reduce fraud, and support trust and safety.
• Apply explicit mutual eligibility gates, including race preferences, gender and interest compatibility, age range, location or distance, profile completeness, account status, and safety exclusions.
• Create, rank, and deliver the Daily Deck and any eligible Golden Envelope arrival.
• Facilitate matching, messaging, reports, blocks, unmatches, account pause, account deletion, data export, and support requests.
• Personalize and improve Kindex through profile signals, behavior signals, feedback, conversation-pattern checkpoints, and derived matching signals.
• Provide premium features, such as Rosetta Stone, Kindex Mirror, Golden Envelope, Connection Extension, and Connection Resurrection, where available.
• Moderate content, detect abuse, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, prevent spam and fraud, and protect users.
• Analyze reliability, performance, security, conversion, retention, and product quality.
• Process payments, subscriptions, entitlements, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, and app-store requirements.
• Comply with law, legal process, regulatory requests, and safety obligations.

Kindex may use AI, machine learning, embedding systems, and related providers to translate photos, Vibe Check answers, Prompted Moments, feedback, behavior, and strategic conversation checkpoints into internal matching signals. These signals help Kindex curate eligible introductions and improve the Service.

Internal signals may include aesthetic, values, nuance, learned preference, reciprocity, and conversation-pattern signals. They are internal derived data. We do not show raw vectors, crude AI labels, or hidden compatibility classifications as public facts about you or another person.

• Explicit boundaries, safety exclusions, and account controls override internal matching signals.
• We do not use AI to flirt for you, impersonate you, or send messages as you.
• We may use AI-assisted systems for moderation, fraud detection, support, verification, recommendations, and premium insight.
• We may update providers, models, weights, and matching methods over time.
• We treat derived matching signals as personal information where applicable law requires it.

Profile photos and Prompted Moments are profile content and matching signals. If you provide voice answers, we may store the audio, create transcripts, and use the transcript or related metadata for profile display, matching, safety, moderation, accessibility, and product improvement.

If you complete live-selfie verification, Kindex may compare your selfie to your profile photos through automated tools, human review, or both. Verification is meant to reduce impersonation and low-effort accounts. It is not a background check, endorsement, guarantee of identity, guarantee of safety, or promise about anyone's character.

We do not publicly display live-selfie verification submissions. We are designed to minimize retention of verification artifacts and not retain biometric templates after verification is complete, except where retention is needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or safety review.

Messages are private between the conversation participants, but they are not invisible to Kindex systems. We may process messages and conversation metadata to deliver the conversation, show read states, prevent abuse, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, detect fraud, support users, and improve matching.

Kindex may also analyze structured conversation signals, such as first message timing, response timing, message count, effort balance, conversation duration, ghosting, unmatch, report, block, contact exchange, or date-intent signals. Where Kindex uses conversation checkpoints for personalization, Rosetta Stone, Kindex Mirror, or slow-layer matching refinement, that processing is governed by this Privacy Policy, the Terms, product controls, deletion controls, and safety rules.

Kindex does not expose raw private messages to other users outside the conversation, and premium insight must not reveal confidential safety reports or another person's private behavioral profile in a way that compromises safety or dignity.

Other users may see the parts of your profile and activity that are necessary for the Service, such as your name, age, profile photos, selected profile content, Prompted Moments, verification status, distance, city if you choose to show it, Connect or match status, messages you send to them, and certain system messages in a conversation.

Other users do not see your raw internal matching signals, raw AI labels, safety reports, blocked-user list, hidden preference logic, private support communications, payment details, or account security information.

We share information only as needed to operate, protect, and improve Kindex, or as required by law.

• With other users, when you choose to display profile content, send messages, Connect, match, use premium signals, or otherwise interact through the Service.
• With service providers that help us with hosting, authentication, storage, databases, messaging, notifications, analytics, customer support, payment processing, subscriptions, app-store operations, AI processing, verification, moderation, security, and fraud prevention.
• With app stores, payment processors, and entitlement providers to process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, renewals, and entitlement status.
• With law enforcement, courts, regulators, emergency responders, or other parties when we believe disclosure is legally required, necessary to protect safety, or appropriate to enforce our rights.
• With professional advisors, auditors, insurers, legal counsel, and compliance providers.
• In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
• As aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise non-identifying information for analytics, research, reporting, and product improvement.

We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. We do not knowingly share sensitive dating preferences for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Paid Services may be processed by Apple, Google, Superwall, RevenueCat or other authorized payment, subscription, entitlement, or app-store providers. Those providers may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. Kindex usually receives transaction status, entitlement status, product identifiers, receipts, and related metadata, not your full payment card number.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, support safety, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with law, support billing, and improve Kindex.

• Profile content is generally retained while your account is active or until you delete or replace it.
• Messages and conversation records may be retained while conversations are active and for a period afterward for safety, abuse prevention, legal, support, and product integrity reasons.
• Derived matching signals, embeddings, scores, snapshots, and learning records may be retained while needed to operate Kindex and may be deleted, de-identified, or rebuilt according to account deletion and retention rules.
• Verification artifacts are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for verification, fraud prevention, safety review, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
• Reports, blocks, bans, fraud signals, moderation records, and enforcement records may be retained after account deletion where needed to protect users and prevent repeat abuse.
• Billing, tax, entitlement, and transaction records may be retained as required by app stores, payment providers, accounting rules, tax rules, chargeback handling, and law.
• Backups, logs, and security records may persist for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.

If you delete your account, we remove your profile from ordinary visibility and delete, de-identify, or restrict account data according to our retention rules. Deletion may not remove information already sent to another user, records we must keep for safety or legal reasons, or records retained by third-party providers under their own policies.

• You can edit your profile, photos, Prompted Moments, preferences, and certain visibility settings in the app.
• You can choose whether to show your city in your profile where that control is available. Distance may remain visible because it is part of matching eligibility.
• You can block, report, unmatch, pause, or hide where those controls are available.
• You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information where applicable law gives you those rights.
• You can manage subscriptions and refunds through the applicable app store or payment provider.
• You can disable certain device permissions, such as camera, microphone, notifications, or location, through your device settings, though some features may not work without them.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, object to certain processing, appeal a privacy decision, or withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for promptly telling us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Kindex is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we may delete the account and related information.

Kindex is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection rules different from the rules where you live.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the Service, by updating the date above, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of Kindex after an updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
